What you will do

• Assist with commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and analysis of utility inverters through email, telephone support, and site visits.
• Develop detailed knowledge of utility inverter products, SMA accessories, and compatible third-party equipment.
• Perform maintenance activities according to product maintenance manuals and customer service contracts.
• Maintain accurate spare-parts inventories and help reduce field-service costs while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Work with high-voltage DC electricity, three-phase power, and inverter software and firmware.
• Support regional service operations, including occasional nonstandard hours and significant travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is strongly preferred, or equivalent experience in the renewables industry.
• At least three years of experience in electrical, electronic, and/or network communications.
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of Indio, California, or be willing to relocate there.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
• Ability to travel, work nonstandard schedules when needed, and routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
