Manager, Software Engineering Product Manager (Annuity Data Platform)

Location: Columbus, Ohio; hybrid schedule with in-office work on Wednesdays and Thursdays

Salary: $118,000–$178,000 expected starting annual range; national range up to $222,000

What you will do

• Define and execute the strategy and outcome-based roadmap for the Annuity Data Platform.
• Lead delivery of data capabilities supporting the Annuity Modernization first launch, including backlog readiness, sequencing, dependencies, and milestone execution.
• Guide the design, development, and operationalization of secure, scalable, resilient data platform capabilities.
• Establish DevSecOps, automation, observability, data quality, platform health, and reliable run-operations practices.
• Enable governed data assets, reusable data products, analytics, automation, and AI-based solutions tied to measurable business outcomes.
• Lead cross-functional teams, vendors, workforce planning, financial management, talent development, and stakeholder governance.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading software engineering and/or data platform teams in large, complex technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of data platforms, data engineering, data architecture, cloud, analytics, and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience leading transformational programs with cross-functional dependencies, delivery execution, and operational accountability.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, SRE and operational practices, automation, secure engineering, risk controls, and application resiliency.
• At least six years of application suite management experience, including four or more years leading multiple teams across technologies.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, roadmap planning, budgeting, forecasting, decision-making, coaching, and team development skills.

Nice to have

• Insurance or financial services industry knowledge.
• Undergraduate studies in management information systems, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or comparable education and experience.
