TL;DR
Applied Early Career - Installation Team Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites with an accent on mechanical, electrical, vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic, and gas systems. Focus on hands-on diagnostics, equipment optimization, customer technical support, and safe execution of installations and maintenance during travel to assigned regions.

Location: Boise, Idaho; Chandler, Arizona; or Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Travel to customer sites is required up to 75% of the time. Relocation is eligible.

Salary: $27.00–$37.40 per hour.

What you will do

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and support semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues using diagnostic techniques and digital analytics.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
  • Work alongside experienced engineers on installations, upgrades, and customer projects.
  • Provide direct technical support, coordinate with customers, document service activities, and communicate project updates.
  • Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures while continuously developing technical expertise through training and mentorship.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, or digital multimeters.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, technical aptitude, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation and procedures.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to obtain a passport for business travel, and ability to meet customer-site safety and environmental requirements.

Nice to have

  • Internship, co-op, research, laboratory, or project experience involving mechanical, electrical, vacuum, pneumatic, hydraulic, or manufacturing systems.
  • Exposure to semiconductor, manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, automotive, or similar technical environments.
  • Leadership experience through student organizations, team projects, athletics, military service, or community involvement.
