Senior Accountant, Operations Accounting

Location: Full-time onsite in the Houston, TX office at 990 Town & Country Blvd.

Salary: $99,175–$119,694 annually; full pay range of $88,915–$139,073 annually.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly project-related journal entries under US GAAP, including ASC 606, and the company chart of accounts.
• Analyze project-related costs and revenue on a monthly and ad hoc basis.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations for general ledger accounts and subsystems.
• Organize and process project documentation and maintain large data sets in collaboration with internal groups and clients.
• Perform SOX controls across projects, revenue, and financial close management.
• Support financial statement, incurred cost, and internal audits while leading accounting and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related business field.
• At least five years of full-time accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong accuracy, attention to detail, and organization.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX, including cost accounting and revenue accounting under ASC 606.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and across functions.
• Eligibility to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 is required.

Nice to have

• CPA or CMA certification and/or an advanced degree.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and EPM.
• Experience identifying and driving process improvement initiatives.
