Senior Accountant

Location: Applicants must meet ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residency, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts.
• Perform monthly revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, cash collection, and contract balance reconciliations.
• Own key parts of the monthly financial close and support accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Support accounts payable operations, including invoice review, payment approvals, vendor reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
• Support NetSuite integrations with procurement, expense management, and manufacturing systems through data validation, configuration testing, and UAT.
• Research technical accounting matters, support audits, and improve accounting policies, controls, automation, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of public accounting experience with a nationally recognized accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with month-end close activities and financial reconciliations.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, analytical ability, organization, communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification.
• Operational accounting experience in technology, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or industrial companies.
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, manufacturing environments, external audits, internal controls, automation, or system enhancements.
