Staff Software Development Engineer - Full Stack (AI)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States. U.S. Person status is required, defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, Asylee, or Refugee; certain work may also be subject to U.S. export control and ITAR requirements.

Salary: $105,000–$154,000 annually for positions within Colorado. Final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable full-stack applications using Java/Spring Boot, Vue.js, and Python/FastAPI.
• Build and operate cloud-native applications on AWS with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
• Develop secure, scalable REST APIs and maintainable software according to engineering standards.
• Own features end to end, from engineering specifications through production deployment and support.
• Use AI throughout the agentic software development lifecycle for implementation, code review, testing, debugging, and documentation while validating generated outputs.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Systems Engineering, Solution Architecture, and other cross-functional teams to improve delivery and developer productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience developing cloud-native software applications.
• Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot, Vue.js, React, Angular, PostgreSQL, and Python/FastAPI.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, modern software design, Agile development, and engineering best practices.
• U.S. Person status is required for eligibility.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, GCP, or multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with specification-first engineering, AI agents, engineering automation, or AI-enabled developer workflows.
