Principal Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting is permitted.

Salary: $139,000–$249,260 annual base salary for U.S.-based roles; offers may exceed this range and may include bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, and maintain construction cloud software products, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Design software systems and flows that integrate multiple APIs and services.
• Implement robust, maintainable software and enhance existing functionality.
• Troubleshoot defects, performance bottlenecks, and system malfunctions across the application stack.
• Conduct full-stack code reviews and provide feedback on implementations and tooling.
• Work with Product Managers and cross-functional partners to translate customer and system requirements into sprint-ready tasks and features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the offered role or a related software engineering occupation.
• At least 6 years of experience developing and maintaining front-end and back-end systems, including React, Angular, or Vue and Node, Java, or Python services.
• At least 6 years of experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• At least 6 years of experience with cloud deployment, CI/CD, Docker, serverless architectures, automated testing, and performance monitoring.
• Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the U.S.
