Senior Engineering Manager (DevOps/SRE)

Starting salary: $228,497 per year

What you will do

• Lead and grow a multidisciplinary Platform Team spanning DevOps, Application Security, SRE, and FinOps.
• Set technical strategy, create engineering roadmaps, manage technical debt, and turn organizational objectives into shipped deliverables.
• Own production-ready platforms, build and deployment systems, infrastructure tooling, observability, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Strengthen secure coding, data privacy, access control, vulnerability management, and secure SDLC practices.
• Build cloud and infrastructure cost visibility tooling for engineering leadership and the C-suite.
• Lead cross-team incident response, root cause analysis, remediation, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software management experience across infrastructure, systems, and application layers.
• Hands-on expertise in DevOps and SRE, with experience delivering production systems at scale.
• Experience with CI/CD, release engineering, AWS, Docker, Make or similar build tools, and environment scripting.
• Fluency with infrastructure as code such as Terraform across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Experience with application security, data privacy, access control, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, secure SDLC, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or NIST CSF.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, observability tooling, incident management, on-call rotations, escalation, and postmortems.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with voter file data.
• Experience with or interest in political data.
• Background in political technology, civic technology, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations.
