Manager, Payroll Connections (Fintech)

Location: United States, Remote

Salary: $85,000–$90,000 per year, plus potential bonuses, commissions, and equity.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of Payroll Connection Specialists.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex payroll integration blockers.
• Define team goals, OKRs, KPIs, and performance metrics for productivity and quality.
• Improve operational workflows, scale capacity, and support organizational growth.
• Guide clients through technical connections with more than 400 payroll providers.
• Partner cross-functionally to optimize 401(k) contribution processing and resolve integration issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a SaaS environment or the retirement industry; payroll or 401(k) contribution processing experience is preferred.
• 1–2+ years of experience in team leadership, supervision, or direct people management.
• Experience managing high-volume accounts and complex projects or implementations.
• Experience defining goals, success metrics, and KPIs to improve team productivity.
• Strong operational improvement, prioritization, communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related discipline is preferred.
