Senior Staff Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Remote within the United States; must be a US citizen residing in the US due to FedRAMP requirements. An in-person interview is required.

Salary: $155,800–$262,550 USD base salary for US-based employees. Additional bonus, commission, and equity eligibility may apply.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and deploy maintainable, reliable microservices for medium- to high-complexity features.
• Build backend features using Java and Go within an event-driven, cloud-native AWS architecture.
• Design RESTful APIs and support a multi-tenant, API-first SaaS platform.
• Develop unit, end-to-end, and automated full-stack tests with code-coverage metrics.
• Drive architectural direction, design reviews, technical standards, and production reliability.
• Mentor engineers, participate in on-call and TechOps processes, and manage FedRAMP release development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java experience and advanced object-oriented analysis and design skills.
• Experience designing event-driven architectures, performant microservices, RESTful APIs, and multi-tenant SaaS products.
• Experience with data pipelines and large-scale data transformations.
• Proven experience using Claude and Cursor to build releasable, maintainable code.
• Must be a US citizen residing in the United States; an in-person interview is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and continuous delivery.
• Experience working on Big Data or Machine Learning products.
• Experience instrumenting code for production performance metrics.
