What you will do

• Design and build scalable, reliable backend services and REST APIs.
• Own complex technical problems from architecture through production.
• Build secure, observable, and resilient distributed systems.
• Drive architectural decisions and improve engineering standards across teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and Data Science.
• Mentor engineers and solve challenging production and performance problems at scale.

Requirements

• Strong experience building and operating large-scale backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with Golang; Java or Scala are also relevant.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, and AWS.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, high-volume data, streaming, or event-driven systems.
• Strong understanding of security, privacy, and data protection.
• Permanent right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
