Focus on leading complex facilities projects, developing preventive maintenance and training programs, coordinating vendors and stakeholders, and maintaining regulatory compliance across campus buildings.

Location: hirify.global Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: CAD 7,727.33–11,112.00 per month

What you will do

  • Manage facilities, building services, maintenance operations, and custodial work plans across multiple multi-purpose Student Housing and Community Services facilities.
  • Lead renovation, maintenance, sustainability, safety, and process improvement projects, including scope, design, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Manage service contracts, vendors, supplies, cost controls, assets, and annual operating budgets.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, staff supervision, performance review support, and training programs for Building Services employees.
  • Develop operational data systems, procedures, service models, maintenance request processes, payroll workflows, and inventory management programs.
  • Ensure buildings, facilities, and equipment are inspected and maintained safely and in compliance with WorkSafeBC, the BC Building Code, CSA standards, and other applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of project management software, architectural drawings, buildings, building systems, and blueprints.
  • Experience planning complex tasks, managing projects, scheduling or estimating, and using computer systems effectively.
  • Ability to lead staff, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and apply tact, diplomacy, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and respect for diverse perspectives.

Nice to have

  • Project Management Certification or PMP.
  • Experience managing staff in a unionized workplace.
  • Knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations.
  • Experience in a hotel or university environment.
  • Valid British Columbia driver's licence and bondability.
