Facility Electrician

Location: Onsite at 25 Morton Shulman Ave, North York, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 30–35 per hour

What you will do

• Analyze electrical drawings, specifications, and instructions to troubleshoot, repair, replace, and install components of normal and emergency power systems up to 600V.
• Install electrical circuits, conduits, wiring, grounding leads, lighting fixtures, appliances, and life safety systems.
• Inspect and test lighting, emergency power, alarm, HVAC, medical gas, communications, and medical equipment systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults and repair switches, sockets, ballasts, motors, transformers, controls, sensors, and other components.
• Run weekly tests of the emergency diesel generator in coordination with building operators.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance while keeping work areas safe, clean, and orderly.

Requirements

• Electrician certification.
• Facility Electrician Certificate.
• Ability to work onsite at the North York facility.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, emergency power equipment, HVAC devices, alarms, and related facility systems.
