AI Engineering & Enablement Lead

Location: Overland Park, Kansas, USA; eligible for hire in select U.S. locations. Hybrid onshore/offshore role with architecture and stakeholder alignment during US hours.

What you will do

• Own the AI Hub Center of Excellence charter and connect Enterprise AI capabilities with Patient Services engineering.
• Operationalize GCP, Vertex AI, Claude, Gemini Enterprise, Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot across development, QA, and business analysis workflows.
• Architect the agent deployment and lifecycle framework, including RAG pipelines, tool and function calling, MCP integrations, and multi-step orchestration.
• Define standards for building, evaluating, deploying, monitoring, and retiring production AI agents.
• Lead parallel AI MVP and technology workstreams with an onshore/offshore follow-the-sun delivery model.
• Report AI velocity, delivery progress, and ROI to CTO and CFO stakeholders while coordinating with Salesforce, MuleSoft, and product teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a technical lead or architect role.
• Production experience architecting and deploying LLM-based systems or AI agents.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud AI platform, preferably Vertex AI, and leading LLMs such as Claude or Gemini.
• Knowledge of RAG, tool use/function calling, CrewAI, LangChain, Vertex Agent Builder, and MCP.
• Experience introducing AI-assisted development tools and driving adoption across engineering organizations.
• Understanding of Salesforce, enterprise integration, HIPAA/PHI handling, AI governance, model risk, and data security; experience leading distributed onshore/offshore teams.

• Healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or patient services technology experience.
• Experience establishing an AI Center of Excellence or enablement function.
• Salesforce Health Cloud, Apex, or LWC experience.
• AI or healthcare technology vendor-management experience.
