AI Product Manager

Location: Remote in South San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $90–$100 per hour

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise AI product roadmap and identify, prioritize, and deliver AI use cases aligned with strategic objectives.
• Evaluate AI vendor platforms, LLMs, generative AI tools, and MLOps platforms; lead proof-of-concept engagements and build adoption business cases.
• Define AI product requirements, success criteria, rollout plans, and stakeholder alignment across IT, business functions, and external vendors.
• Support cybersecurity, infrastructure, data governance, and operational reviews of AI tools before deployment.
• Lead AI adoption, change management, user enablement, training, and responsible-use governance across the organization.
• Maintain the AI use case registry, track ROI and lessons learned, and present roadmap updates and recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related field, or relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in product management, enterprise technology, or a related role in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience managing AI/ML or GenAI product initiatives, including vendor evaluation, tool deployment, and stakeholder alignment.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience evaluating or deploying LLM platforms and enterprise generative AI solutions.
• Working knowledge of GxP-adjacent environments and compliance considerations for clinical, regulatory, or quality contexts.
• Ability to translate technical AI capabilities into business outcomes and communicate trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or formal AI/ML training, certification, or equivalent professional development.
• Familiarity with life sciences and enterprise platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and AI security and compliance requirements, including GDPR and HIPAA.
