Specialist, EHSQ (Manufacturing)

Location: Spokane, Washington, US; onsite manufacturing facility

Salary: $83,500–$100,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses

What you will do

• Lead proactive safety processes and support a positive safety culture across the Spokane manufacturing plant.
• Maintain compliance with Federal, State, Municipal, and Corporate requirements through procedure development, audits, document control, and regulatory reporting.
• Advise management and employees on safety issues, coordinate required training, and maintain health, safety, and environmental training records.
• Coordinate incident and accident analysis, corrective action plans, emergency response programs, drills, medical monitoring, and emergency medical needs.
• Manage personal protective equipment, Hazard Communication, Behavior Based Safety, and environmental and safety procedures.
• Work with plant production on health, safety, environmental, and quality process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field and/or completion of equivalent safety and health certification programs, with experience in a chemical or manufacturing facility.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Washington State regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to train personnel.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to manage time and prioritize competing tasks.
• Ability to write and review procedures.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP.
