Specialist, EHSQ (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Spokane, Washington, United States; manufacturing facility

Salary: $83,500–$100,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses

What you will do

• Lead proactive safety processes and support a positive safety culture throughout the plant.
• Develop, implement, audit, and maintain health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures and documentation.
• Coordinate regulatory, site, incident, and accident reporting, including corrective action follow-up.
• Advise employees and plant management on safety issues, regulatory requirements, and required training.
• Manage emergency response drills, medical monitoring, PPE programs, and Behavior Based Safety initiatives.
• Partner with production teams to identify process improvements in health, safety, environmental compliance, and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, and/or equivalent safety and health certification, with experience in a chemical or manufacturing facility.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Washington State regulations.
• Experience writing and reviewing procedures, maintaining records, and managing controlled documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to train personnel.
• Demonstrated leadership, self-direction, results orientation, and strong time-management skills.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP.
