Facility Technical Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Salary: $95,000–$113,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the plant quality strategy and reduce cost of poor quality using SPC, 8D, and root cause analysis.
• Manage laboratory operations, including staff supervision, testing processes, and equipment calibration.
• Act as the technical expert for production processes, formulations, and troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase yield, productivity, and process capability.
• Lead internal and external audits and maintain ISO 9000 compliance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and R&D on customer needs, quality issues, SAP data integrity, new product introduction, and scale-up.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, process engineering, or technical leadership.
• Experience with statistical process control, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Knowledge of batch manufacturing environments and relevant regulatory standards, including ISO 9000, OSHA, DOT, and RCRA.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of experience managing technical or laboratory teams with direct reports.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification or equivalent training.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, including BOMs, recipes, and master data.
• Experience in adhesives manufacturing.
