Environmental Health and Safety Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Soledad, California, United States; based at Stonewall Canyon Winery. The role includes work across wineries, estate vineyards, hospitality operations, mobile bottling activities, and travel of approximately 25%.

Salary: $117,800–$184,200 per year.

What you will do

• Lead and implement environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, programs, training, and compliance activities.
• Provide technical EHS guidance to site management, supervisors, employees, and contractors across multiple operational locations.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions for accidents, incidents, releases, and identified hazards.
• Manage regulatory records, reports, permits, compliance submissions, trend analysis, and the local safety and environmental budget.
• Partner with Engineering on projects, maintenance, new technology, change management, safeguards, permitting, and OSHA compliance.
• Develop emergency response, injury management, induction, safety committee, and employee training programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with EHS management systems and state and federal safety codes, environmental rules, and regulations.
• Experience with permitting and regulatory reporting under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, and RCRA.
• Strong oral and written communication, relationship-building, multitasking, and execution skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to work outdoors and indoors, around noise, fumes, chemicals, machinery, wet surfaces, and varying temperatures, and move up to 50 pounds.
