Senior Manager, Engineering

What you will do

• Lead multiple engineering teams in coordination with the VP of Technology and participate in broad technology strategy.
• Build, grow, and manage technology and engineering teams developing scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient products and platforms.
• Deliver software programs on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• Oversee development processes with Development Leads, Architects, and Systems Analysts, serving as a technical liaison between engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external customers and their technology teams.
• Reduce operational load, improve productivity, and align projects and team capabilities with business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of IT and software engineering experience, including software design and development.
• 1+ years of experience leading technical professionals and software development teams.
• Experience leading within a large technology platform or organization.
• Strong knowledge of software and database design concepts, .NET, web and mobile development, and object-oriented coding in C++ and/or Java.
• Track record of successful technology introduction and process improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience leading delivery on large-scale projects.
• Experience with distributed, multi-tier platforms, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Experience developing platforms for external customers.
• Experience managing support request queues and converting recurring requests into automated workflows.
