Engineering Manager (SaaS)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate a globally distributed team of full-stack, backend, and frontend engineers.
• Partner with recruiting to attract and hire engineering talent, conduct performance reviews, and support career development.
• Set and enforce coding, code review, architectural review, security, and engineering quality standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and leadership to define the team vision, product roadmap, priorities, and resource allocation.
• Own the planning, execution, deployment, monitoring, and production support of multiple mission-critical workstreams.
• Track engineering metrics, communicate progress, and balance technical debt, customer issues, and feature delivery.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years managing teams of 4–6 engineers across different seniority levels and technology stacks.
• Experience managing distributed and offshore engineering teams.
• Deep knowledge of agile processes and iterative software delivery.
• Technical background in cloud and SaaS platform development and operations, with broad knowledge of programming languages, software architecture, design, and database systems.
• Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.

Nice to have

• Basic familiarity with DevOps on Amazon or Google Cloud.
