Territory Manager, Middle Market Business Development - Commercial Lines (Insurance Production Underwriter - Southern California)

Location: Remote from California, supporting the Southern California territory; preference for residence in the LA / Orange County metro area. Approximately 25% travel to agency partners is required.

Salary: $104,000–$156,000 expected starting annual range; national range $104,000–$194,000.

What you will do

• Maintain and grow a defined middle-market renewal book while meeting new business, premium, profitability, and service objectives.
• Quote, price, and underwrite complex new and renewal commercial policies and endorsements within underwriting authority.
• Research market conditions, risks, competitive factors, agency books, and regional underwriting performance to identify opportunities and corrective actions.
• Develop and execute agency business plans covering pipeline management, producer development, renewals, new business, and targeted industries.
• Build relationships with agencies, brokers, producers, and internal partners through consultations, agency reviews, and territory visits.
• Market hirify.global products, communicate product and technology changes, and provide underwriting expertise on coverage, pricing, risk management, and business solutions.

Requirements

• Commercial insurance underwriting experience with underwriting authority.
• Production and agency management orientation, with strong sales, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Seven years of progressively responsible commercial-lines underwriting and sales experience is preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of middle-market underwriting, pricing, coverage, commercial products, programs, and applicable state regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred; CPCU, CIC, AU, or related coursework is advantageous.
• Must be eligible to work without employer-sponsored work authorization; hirify.global does not participate in the STEM OPT Extension program. A valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required.

• Existing agency or broker relationships within Southern California.
• Multi-line underwriting experience with middle-market accounts.
• Experience in manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, food service and accommodation, or retail.
