What you will do

  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to approve risk selection, coverage, and pricing for complex life applications.
  • Evaluate applications including chronic illness riders, focusing on medical and financial risks.
  • Resolve complex issues, review referrals, and provide signatures within approval limits up to $15,000,000.
  • Select and classify risks per company standards, manage retention, and maintain profitable mortality experience.
  • Participate in business planning, department initiatives, and major projects to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Communicate with field and home office partners to deliver high-quality service.

Requirements

  • Must be located in the United States for remote work
  • College degree required (equivalent underwriting experience may be considered).
  • FLMI, FALU, and ACS designations or current coursework required.
  • 7-10 years of underwriting experience required.
  • Highly developed knowledge of underwriting, medical science, financial factors, insurance products, and reinsurance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
