Associate Underwriter, Financial Institutions

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; hybrid

Salary: $33.15–$45.58 per hour, plus 15% incentive

What you will do

• Review, analyze, accept, and decline Financial Institution underwriting risks to support portfolio profitability.
• Manage the existing renewal book and implement corrective measures when needed.
• Work with regional managers and Financial Institution product line leaders on accounts, producers, operations, systems, and procedures.
• Build relationships with key producers while monitoring producer profitability and production.
• Review competitor forms and pricing and market hirify.global products effectively.
• Participate in audits and underwriting meetings and provide technical assistance to underwriting support staff.

Requirements

• US work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not provided now or in the future.
• At least one year of Financial Institution underwriting or relevant industry experience.
• Technical knowledge and skills demonstrating progression toward increasing responsibility.
• Marketing, relationship-building, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office and underwriting systems.
• A four-year college degree and/or progress toward insurance designations is preferred.
