Location: Hybrid role based in Columbus, Ohio or Des Moines, Iowa; at least two days per week in-office and up to three days remotely. Other locations may be available for existing associates already working elsewhere.
Salary: $88,000β$132,000 expected starting annual salary range; national range $88,000β$164,000.

What you will do
- Perform actuarial pricing analyses for state- and line-level business decisions.
- Evaluate rate and non-rate strategies to support profitability management.
- Select data sources, develop assumptions, conduct quantitative analyses, and make recommendations.
- Document methods, assumptions, data sources, and analytical considerations.
- Prepare and present actuarial findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Perform peer reviews, support onboarding, and build relationships across finance teams.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in actuarial methodologies, statistical analysis, actuarial models, software, and databases.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, analytical software, and programming languages.
- Generally, four or more actuarial exams passed and active enrollment in the Actuarial Student Program.
- Typically, one to three years of P&C insurance pricing experience; the broader role profile generally references three or more years of actuarial experience.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, business understanding, customer focus, and ability to work with ambiguity.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python or R.
- Basic knowledge of predictive modeling and data mining.
- Interest in participating in the P&C Actuarial Rotation Program.
