Location: Work from home covering Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas; day travel to policy locations is required 3–4 days per week, with occasional overnight travel. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates living more than 50 miles outside the territory.
Salary: $62,500–$93,500 expected starting range; $62,500–$115,500 national range per year.

What you will do
- Investigate and resolve moderate to severe property damage claims by phone and through onsite and virtual inspections.
- Determine policy coverage, apply claims practices, and manage claim reserves within delegated authority.
- Prepare repair requirements, cost estimates, severe incident reports, reinsurance reports, and litigation or subrogation files.
- Identify potential fraud and subrogation opportunities in partnership with Special Investigations and Subrogation units.
- Provide guidance and service to policyholders, claimants, repair professionals, attorneys, agents, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct physical property inspections, including first- and second-story rooftops, and support additional territories as a desk adjuster when needed.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of property claims handling or adjusting experience.
- Solid experience with Xactimate, including writing estimates and handling claims from start to finish.
- Construction experience in residential work, roofing, remodeling, water mitigation, or a related area.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, plus required state licensing and claims training.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to climb ladders and safely inspect rooftops up to an 8/12 pitch; willingness to work outdoors, irregular hours, overnight travel, on-call shifts, and catastrophe assignments is required.

- Customer service experience involving flexible schedules and extended work hours.
- Ability to provide leadership to less experienced claims associates.

Hiring process
- Credit and/or background check required as part of the selection process.
- Xactimate Level 1 certification must be obtained within one year of starting, followed by Level 2 certification within two years.
