Principal Energy Solutions Engineer

Location: Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite five days per week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Domestic travel of up to 25–40% is expected.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year.

What you will do

• Provide expert guidance on energy and distributed energy resource project development.
• Deliver front-end project engineering, including conceptual electrical design and detailed cost estimates.
• Develop solutions incorporating solar PV, energy storage, natural gas generation, combined heat and power, renewable fuels, and hydrogen.
• Oversee procurement and installation of turnkey energy systems, controls, integrated switchgear, and balance-of-plant components.
• Coordinate with third-party engineering firms and contractors on final design approvals.
• Attend site walkthroughs and lead stakeholder-facing discussions throughout development, construction, commissioning, and project reviews.

Requirements

• Expert understanding of energy and distributed energy resource project development.
• Experience with preliminary electrical design and communication across project stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and technical solution development skills.
• Working knowledge of project management strategies, phases, deliverables, and critical paths.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
• Ability to work onsite in Kennett Square five days per week.
