Location: Albany, NY, United States; onsite full-time role with travel to customer locations as needed

Salary: $79,200–$118,800 per year

hirify.global develops hydrogen infrastructure products, including liquid hydrogen storage, cryogenic pumps, compressors, vaporizers, pressure vessels, valves, control cabinets, PLCs, and process safety equipment.

What you will do

  • Develop and release service engineering deliverables for maintenance, commissioning, monitoring, diagnostics, operations, and service cost estimation.
  • Integrate serviceability, reliability, and lifecycle cost considerations into product design and release processes.
  • Investigate system and component failures, perform root cause analysis using 8D methodology, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and execute field design changes, retrofits, product improvement programs, and Management of Change activities.
  • Support customer escalations, commissioning, troubleshooting, incident reporting, warranty analysis, and technical resolution planning.
  • Create test plans and technical training for customers, service technicians, and internal staff while providing second- and third-tier engineering support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, systems, or controls engineering.
  • Five to ten years of related work experience with strong mechanical and electrical systems aptitude.
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and distributed control systems.
  • Understanding of process engineering for gas handling, fluid systems, and energy infrastructure.
  • Ability to apply industrial electrical, pressure-system, safety, and hazardous-area standards in design and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&ID drawings, and other project drawings; analyze engineering data; manage complex projects; and communicate clearly.
