Senior Field Service Technician (Liquid Cooling)

Location: Denver, Colorado, with customer-site work supporting Mountain and West Coast coverage; approximately 75% domestic travel with occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Lead field installation, startup, commissioning, validation, preventive maintenance, corrective service, and acceptance testing for liquid cooling systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting across mechanical, hydronic, electrical, controls, and thermal subsystems, including root-cause isolation.
• Operate diagnostic and commissioning equipment, including multimeters, megohmmeters, manometers, IR cameras, flow meters, and pressure transducers.
• Act as the senior technical representative at customer data centers, support handovers and operational training, and respond to outages and critical events.
• Coordinate work in 24x7 environments involving UPS, PDU, generators, ATS, BMS/DCIM, CRAC/CRAH, fire suppression, and chilled-water plants.
• Document service activity and root-cause analyses, collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain, and mentor junior technicians.

Requirements

• 5+ years of field service experience with HVAC, HVAC/R, chillers, industrial cooling, power, or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience leading equipment startups, commissioning, and troubleshooting in customer environments.
• High school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and passport.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required at offer; OSHA 10 and lockout/tagout competency required.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and sequence-of-operations documents without supervision.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75%, participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, and respond to critical infrastructure emergencies.

Nice to have

• OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certification.
• Experience supporting data centers, hyperscale facilities, colocation, or other high-availability environments.
• Hands-on experience with direct-to-chip, immersion, rear-door heat exchanger, or manifold-based liquid cooling.
• Experience with hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center operators.
