BM Designer, Civil & I&C

Location: Full-time onsite in the San Francisco, Long Beach, or Houston offices, except for bi-weekly work-from-home Fridays; exceptions may be considered for exceptional candidates outside these hubs. The role is based in the USA.

What you will do

• Build and maintain federated BIM models for foundations, equipment pads, embeds, anchor bolts, outdoor structures, and equipment yards.
• Model underground electrical duct banks, raceways, manholes, pull boxes, grounding grids, rods, conductors, and related connections.
• Integrate Civil 3D surfaces, utility networks, alignments, survey data, shared coordinates, and georeferencing into Revit models.
• Own underground and outdoor model coordination, run clash tests in Navisworks, and resolve conflicts between duct banks, foundations, grounding, and structures.
• Produce foundation, duct bank, grounding, and yard layout drawings according to CAD standards.
• Generate quantity takeoffs and maintain parametric families for concrete, reinforcement, steel, conduit, pads, duct banks, manholes, and bus supports.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of expert-level Autodesk Revit experience, including structural modeling, family creation, parametric content, worksharing, and shared coordinates.
• Experience modeling heavy-equipment foundations, equipment pads, anchor bolts, embeds, underground electrical raceways, and duct banks.
• Industrial, energy, substation, or mission-critical infrastructure experience; commercial or residential Revit experience alone is insufficient.
• Ability to read and reconcile Civil 3D surfaces, pipe networks, alignments, and survey points in Revit.
• Working knowledge of NEC Article 300.5, NESC/IEEE 605, IEEE 80, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC 360, plus Navisworks clash testing.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Data center, mission-critical, technically complex industrial, or substation civil and structural design experience.
• Hands-on Civil 3D authoring experience.
• Experience with modular or repeat-deployment projects where models drive factory production.
• Dynamo or Revit API scripting experience for modeling and QA automation.
