What you will do

• Independently develop, route, and detail complex piping systems in Autodesk Revit.
• Review P&IDs, vendor equipment drawings, and engineering specifications to create accurate design layouts.
• Provide technical input on piping operability, maintenance clearances, material selection, and support placement.
• Coordinate piping layouts with mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering disciplines to resolve spatial clashes.
• Support project scoping, workshare planning, estimating, change management, and QA/QC workflows.
• Review model health and enforce consistency across project deliverables and drafting standards.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of industrial piping design experience in process sectors such as oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, or advanced technology facilities.
• At least 3 years of hands-on Autodesk Revit experience focused on piping design and modeling.
• Associate’s degree in Design Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical design experience.
• Strong understanding of piping specifications, construction materials, equipment interfaces, and layout fundamentals.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and complex engineering documentation.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in multidisciplinary engineering environments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or a similar technical field.
• Advanced Revit expertise in custom family and part development, template management, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of pipe stress considerations and the effect of thermal and dynamic loads on routing and support design.
• Experience leading piping design teams, maintaining model consistency, and mentoring junior technicians.
