Software Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the Oakville, Ontario office

Salary: CAD 94,200–117,700 per year

What you will do

• Design and build AI-powered features and autonomous agents from prototypes through secure, production-grade releases.
• Deploy and operate AI agents in live environments, applying authentication, data handling, and observability best practices.
• Build and maintain MCP servers and integrations connecting product capabilities with internal services, APIs, and data sources.
• Develop RESTful APIs and tool integrations for LLM-based systems.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to deliver functional, well-tested AI-integrated features.
• Participate in code reviews and establish standards for agent development, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming fundamentals in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building AI solutions in a business environment with agentic frameworks.
• Experience developing and supporting RESTful APIs and LLM tool integrations.
• Familiarity with FastAPI or Express and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Ability to work hybrid, three days per week in the Oakville office.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, or a comparable framework.
• Working knowledge of MCP servers, connector patterns, and human-in-the-loop design.
• Exposure to AI-DLC or other structured AI development lifecycle approaches.
• Experience supporting Claude-powered or similar LLM agents in production.
