TL;DR
Technical Specialist, Building Operations (Electrician/Building Maintenance) (Electrical Facilities): Maintaining and repairing electrical infrastructure and other facility systems at a large commercial campus with an accent on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, operational reliability, and safety compliance. Focus on switchgear distribution, circuit breakers, motor control centers, complex repairs, emergency response, and leading maintenance projects.

Location: Onsite at Three hirify.global Plaza in Columbus, Ohio; overtime, nonstandard or rotating shifts, outdoor work, and emergency calls may be required.

Salary: $69,500–$103,500 expected starting annual range; national range $69,500–$129,000.

What you will do

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical infrastructure across hirify.global’s commercial downtown campus.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility systems, utilities, equipment, and support infrastructure.
  • Ensure building, electrical, fire, HVAC, life safety, and utility systems remain operational and comply with applicable standards.
  • Respond to customer service requests, maintenance issues, fire-system events, and emergency calls.
  • Provide technical guidance and training, assist with complex projects, and lead maintenance or operations project teams.
  • Support workflow planning, safety compliance, day-to-day administration, and project budget oversight.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science degree, technical school certificate, Department of Labor-approved training, or equivalent education.
  • Typically five or more years of related facility maintenance or skilled-trade experience.
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance troubleshooting and building, electrical, fire, OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Electrical license required when mandated by the applicable state; required licenses and registrations must be obtained within the designated timeframe.
  • Ability to lift and carry over 50 pounds, push or move up to 100 pounds, work at heights, and perform physically demanding maintenance activities.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and may be subject to random alcohol and drug testing.

Nice to have

  • Switchgear distribution, circuit breaker, motor control center, electrical troubleshooting, and repair experience.
  • State Fire Alarm Certification and Level 1 Thermography Certification.
  • Leadership experience in commercial facility operations and maintenance.
