Mechanical Supervisor (Power Plant Maintenance)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global Niagara facility in Niagara Falls, New York, USA. Rotating shifts, weekends, extended hours, on-call coverage, and prolonged onsite work during facility outages are required.

Salary: $91,200–$121,400 USD per annum.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities for mechanics and electrical/instrumentation technicians.
• Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance for boilers, turbines, rotating equipment, piping, and associated plant systems.
• Manage preventive and predictive maintenance, work orders, backlogs, spare parts, and warehouse inventory.
• Coordinate scheduled and forced outages, including work scopes, materials, tools, staffing, and completion schedules.
• Manage maintenance expense and capital budgets, contractor scopes, bid packages, procedures, and purchase requisitions.
• Drive safety, environmental compliance, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and change management.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on Maintenance Supervisor experience, preferably in manufacturing, power generation, or chemical environments.
• Proven managerial and supervisory experience with strong leadership, communication, organization, delegation, and time-management skills.
• Experience with gas or steam turbine generators, rotating equipment, electronic controls, monitoring devices, power boilers, and piping systems.
• Working knowledge of power plant electrical instrumentation and control systems, safety, environmental, and labor regulations.
• Ability to use maintenance systems and Excel/PPT, read process and instrumentation, piping, electrical, and interconnection diagrams, and make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, extended hours, on call, and during extended facility outages.

Nice to have

• Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree.
• Experience with MMM, ALM, Experion, or similar maintenance systems.
