Operations Technician (Mechanical)

What you will do

• Maintain gas turbines, high-speed reciprocating engines, generators, power distribution equipment, environmental controls, and distributed control systems.
• Inspect equipment, read drawings, support pipeline operations, diagnose faults, and repair mechanical systems.
• Assist with construction initiatives and preventive maintenance to improve equipment performance.
• Analyze operational data with teammates and resolve technical or operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate process-operation records, reports, logs, permits, and compliance documentation.
• Follow operational, safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures while protecting personnel, assets, and the community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, on-call duty, and travel between locations with occasional overnight stays.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, loud areas, confined spaces, and elevated areas while using PPE.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform extended periods of standing, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting.
• Mechanical or technical experience depending on level: 6+ months for Technician I, 2+ years for Technician II, 3+ years for Technician III, or 6+ years for Technician Sr.

Nice to have

• Associate degree, particularly for Technician I or Technician Sr.
• Oil and gas experience for Technician II or Technician III.
• Experience with similar equipment or facilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications.
