Purchasing Manager (Supply Chain)

Location: North York, Ontario, Canada; onsite at 64 Arrow Road

Salary: CAD 100,000–130,000 annually

What you will do

• Oversee branch inventory, supply planning, purchasing performance, and service targets.
• Manage, develop, mentor, and train Supply Planners, a Forecaster, and an Inventory Coordinator.
• Monitor and reduce underperforming inventory in collaboration with purchasing and sales teams.
• Assess purchasing options and complete purchase approvals.
• Set strategies to improve branch forecasting performance and review opportunities with the Forecaster and Sales team.
• Collaborate with department managers and handle staffing decisions for directly supervised employees.

Requirements

• University degree or specialized certification such as PMAC or APICS, or related work experience.
• At least two years of management experience.
• Experience with ERP and MRP systems.
• Ability to analyze alternatives and use judgment and initiative in inventory management.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and excellent organizational ability.
