Planning & Steel Sourcing Senior Analyst (Supply Chain)

Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Canada; onsite in an office within a manufacturing mill

Salary: $69,000–$114,000 CAD annually

What you will do

• Lead steel sourcing activities, including purchase orders, vendor communication, trial orders, delivery adjustments, and steel claims resolution.
• Track plant load, ERW mass balance, demand changes, and forecasts to support data-driven sourcing and production decisions.
• Analyze supply chain performance across regions, identify improvement opportunities, monitor execution milestones, and develop support tools.
• Manage supply chain control processes, standards, procedures, budget tracking, and deviation analysis.
• Supervise annual global budget preparation and analyze economic, operational, investment, and new-business profitability.
• Define plant capacity, coordinate production order distribution, and prepare monthly production plans based on market needs, supplier capacity, and inventory.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Experience with SAP and other supply chain management software.
• Excellent MS Excel skills, with exposure to Power BI and SQL.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
