Sr Actuarial Consultant - Personal Lines State Pricing - REMOTE

Location: Remote or hybrid; the position can be filled within any of the lower 48 U.S. states. The listed office location is Columbus, Ohio.

Salary: $118,000–$178,000 expected starting annual range; national range $118,000–$222,000.

What you will do

• Lead pricing decisions for complex personal lines states and align recommendations with business objectives.
• Conduct complex actuarial analyses, select data sources, develop assumptions, and resolve non-optimal results.
• Apply data mining, modeling, validation, and predictive modeling techniques to identify relationships and support recommendations.
• Develop cross-functional work plans, lead peer reviews, and ensure accurate, well-documented deliverables.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior actuarial leadership, regulators, auditors, and external vendors.
• Build business relationships, lead cross-functional communication, and train new associates.

Requirements

• ACAS designation required; working toward or recently attaining FCAS is preferred.
• At least six years of actuarial experience, including pricing and product line knowledge.
• Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
• Detailed knowledge of actuarial functions, statistical analysis, actuarial models, software, and databases.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Snowflake, and Databricks is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage changing priorities, communicate complex findings, and lead others.
