Director, Technical Program Management & Engineering Business Operations (Gaming)

Location: Hybrid role based in London and Bristol, United Kingdom; occasional international travel is expected.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow the EMEA-based Technical Program Management team within Foundational Systems & Experiences Engineering.
• Establish operating models, delivery standards, governance, reporting mechanisms, and execution practices for complex cross-functional programs.
• Partner with engineering, product, architecture, operations, and international TPM leaders to deliver strategic initiatives consistently across regions.
• Own annual planning, quarterly business reviews, goal setting, executive communications, and leadership operating cadences.
• Drive organizational effectiveness through metrics, dashboards, KPIs, workforce planning, budget management, and investment prioritization.
• Advise the VP of Engineering and Engineering Leadership Team, lead strategic initiatives, surface risks, and turn priorities into measurable outcomes.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience leading complex technical programs in software, platform, infrastructure, cloud, or related engineering organizations.
• 5+ years of experience managing Technical Program Managers, Program Managers, or similar functions.
• Experience leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority, and building high-performing teams.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
• Experience with annual planning, portfolio management, organizational operations, and executive reviews.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, engineering processes, and technical architectures, with the ability to work strategically and tactically.

Nice to have

• Experience in Engineering Business Operations, strategic planning, or Chief of Staff-type roles supporting senior executives.
• Experience leading TPM or Program Management organizations within large technology companies.
• Experience working across globally distributed teams and organizations.
• Experience in gaming, consumer technology, platforms, cloud services, or developer ecosystems.
• MBA, advanced technical degree, or equivalent experience.
