Hardware Engineering EPM (IoT Hardware)

Location: Boston, MA, United States; office-based or hybrid options available. Travel within the US and Asia may be required, sometimes with little notice.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Lead electrical, mechanical, firmware, radio, and manufacturing-test development from concept through mass production.
• Plan and coordinate cross-functional work across internal hardware teams, development partners, consultants, and contract manufacturers.
• Own project schedules, work plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, bottlenecks, risks, and status communications.
• Partner with Quality and external partners on product validation and manage technical issues through resolution.
• Manage engineering change orders, run retrospechirify.globals, and drive systemic process improvements.
• Own BOM cost and partner with Supply Chain to improve cost of goods manufacturing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in hardware product development for high-volume products.
• Strong technical expertise with the ability to work deeply in electrical and systems design when needed.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary technical development teams.
• Experience bringing products into high-volume mass production with Asian contract manufacturers.
• Deep knowledge of hardware development best practices in at least two areas: electronics, mechanics, systems engineering, or firmware.
• BSEE, ME, or Physics degree; excellent communication skills and willingness to travel within the US and Asia.
