Release Train Engineer (SAFe)

Location: Remote – U.S.A.

Salary: $95,000–$115,000 per year, plus a potential discretionary incentive program and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the Agile Release Train operating rhythm, including pre-PI refinement, PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, PO Sync, ART Sync, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt.
• Facilitate two-day PI Planning events, Confidence Votes, ROAM exercises, PI Objectives sign-off, and post-event documentation.
• Manage cross-team dependencies, impediments, risks, scope changes, and interfaces with adjacent teams, vendors, and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain the Program Board, ROAM register, PI Objectives, capacity envelopes, decision logs, and other program artifacts.
• Track Predictability, Flow, Business Value, and capacity debt metrics, triggering re-planning when delivery trends decline.
• Coach Product, Engineering, and Technology Leads on SAFe adoption and drive program-level continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least two active SAFe or Agile certifications; SAFe RTE certification is preferred.
• 5+ years leading software delivery programs and 2+ years coordinating multiple teams at program level.
• Experience facilitating or co-facilitating at least three PI Planning events.
• Working knowledge of SAFe 6.0, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and program-level metrics.
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, Linear, Miro, Mural, Lucidchart, Confluence, Microsoft 365, collaboration platforms, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.

Nice to have

• Graduate-level education in Agile Project Management, Organizational Transformation, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with hirify.global’s two-Jira-project model and Product & Engineering Process.
