What you will do

• Design, develop, test, debug, and integrate complex COBOL programs, subroutines, and scripts.
• Translate business requirements into reliable, high-performing application logic and procedures.
• Optimize mainframe systems for capacity, response time, and operating efficiency.
• Support system stability by troubleshooting failures and implementing measures to prevent recurring issues.
• Mentor junior analysts and programmers and promote programming standards.
• Lead technical initiatives and project phases while communicating mainframe concepts to business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent technical experience.
• At least 3 years of systems and programming experience.
• At least 1 year of expert-level COBOL experience.
• Experience with mainframe information technology environments and SQL.
• Experience with complex batch processing and core financial data workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, reliability, and organizational skills.

• Experience independently leading large and complex project workstreams.
