Location: Remote (with occasional onsite visits required) in Mexico City

What you will do

  • Integrate with the GNP technical team under a staff augmentation model, aligning with client processes and standards.
  • Provide technical support, handle incidents, and ensure the continuity of mission-critical Mainframe applications.
  • Develop and maintain COBOL programs and create/update batch processes using JCL.
  • Perform technical analysis and troubleshooting for CICS online processes and batch failures.
  • Maintain data integrity within DB2 environments and ensure compliance with IT governance standards.
  • Identify and propose system performance improvements to increase overall stability and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in COBOL Mainframe environments.
  • Proven experience in production support for critical systems.
  • Basic English proficiency (technical reading).
  • Must be based in Mexico to support occasional onsite visits.

Nice to have

  • Java Front-End experience for end-to-end traceability.
  • Experience with monitoring and job scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
