Lecturer in Electrical Engineering (Electrical Engineering)

Location: London, United Kingdom; face-to-face teaching at Holborn and Fitzrovia campuses, with flexibility to travel to all campus locations

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, subject to skills and experience

What you will do

• Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials across engineering modules.
• Design and update teaching materials and maintain digital learning platforms.
• Set, assess, and provide feedback on assignments and examinations.
• Provide academic and pastoral support, including support for students with additional learning needs.
• Contribute to quality assurance, module and programme evaluations, scholarship, and curriculum improvement.
• Lead modules and coordinate with associate lecturers where applicable.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in a relevant engineering-related field.
• Experience teaching in higher education and strong digital teaching capability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of higher education quality assurance and validation processes.
• Flexible, student-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work towards HEA Fellowship if not already held; schedule may include evenings and weekends.

Nice to have

• PhD or near completion, or equivalent industry experience.
• Research or enterprise activity involvement.
• Teaching qualification such as FHEA, SHEA, PGCAP, or AHEA.
• Experience leading modules or academic teams.
