What you will do

• Design and deliver mental health nursing education across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including simulated practice.
• Review and update course content and teaching materials in collaboration with colleagues.
• Develop innovative teaching techniques and materials that support student understanding and engagement.
• Set and mark authentic, inclusive assessments and provide timely, high-quality feedback.
• Provide academic support and contribute to programme development, quality assurance, and compliance with University and Faculty standards.
• Engage in scholarship, service, practice development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements

• Current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration in the mental health field pathway.
• Master’s degree in a relevant subject area.
• Relevant experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse across appropriate practice settings.
• Experience supporting the learning, supervision, assessment, or development of students, learners, or staff.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to different audiences.
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centred education and continuing professional development.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, including low-intensity approaches.
• Teaching qualification or educator, practice assessor, or practice supervisor preparation.
• PhD.
• Experience in quality assurance, audit, or service and practice improvement.
