Head of RGS Technology

Location: Hybrid in the UK, Malta, or Poland

What you will do

• Provide technical direction for the RGS engineering team and lead architectural decisions across scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Own the technical strategy and evolution of the RGS core platform.
• Design and implement real-time jackpot processing and distribution systems.
• Drive system efficiency, automation, AI capabilities, code quality, and technical debt reduction.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Product, Solution Architecture, and wider stakeholders on delivery and platform operation.
• Support technical design reviews, complex issue resolution, sprint activities, and second- and third-line technical support.

Requirements

• Extensive software engineering experience, including at least three years in a senior or lead role.
• Strong experience with high-availability and real-time processing systems.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, containerisation, DevOps practices, software architecture patterns, and API design.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering complex systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts.
• Experience in the online gaming industry is essential.
