Director of Forward Deployed Engineering (AI)

Location: New York office; must work from the NYC office at least three days per week

Compensation: $300,000–$360,000 OTE (base plus variable), with equity

What you will do

• Lead a 15–20-person NORAM Forward Deployed Engineering organization and ensure signed contracts reach production with measurable business value.
• Own quarterly go-live ARR, implementation pipeline, staffing, team capacity, project milestones, and delivery outcomes.
• Scale the FDE delivery model with Engineering and Product by building reusable, flexible, and maintainable tooling.
• Advocate for implementation priorities with Product and Engineering leadership and secure resources to unblock complex projects.
• Act as principal FDE and solution architect on complex enterprise deployments, leading production-grade design and technical problem-solving.
• Stay hands-on with platform configuration, AI-agent training and evaluations, and customer delivery work.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an Implementation Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Solution Engineer, or equivalent in a B2B SaaS company.
• Experience leading large, multi-quarter enterprise implementations with seven-figure ARR and cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing at least five reports and developing engineering talent.
• Strong technical background and production experience with Python, SQL, REST APIs, batch data pipelines, and data-warehouse integrations.
• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs with engineers and business value with executives.
• Ability to work from the NYC office at least three days per week.

• Experience building AI applications for financial services.
• Experience applying and optimizing statistical or machine learning models to business problems.
• Experience with business onboarding, business loan underwriting, insurance claim processing, or financial crime, fraud, and AML investigations.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
