Senior Actuary - Personal Lines State Pricing (Personal Lines Auto & Home)

Location: Remote or hybrid; can be filled within any of the lower 48 U.S. states. Office location: Columbus, Ohio.

Salary: $149,000–$262,000 national range; expected starting range of $149,000–$223,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead a team of 5–6 pricing actuaries and own pricing decisions for states in the Western region.
• Conduct complex actuarial analyses, select data sources, develop assumptions, and provide pricing and profitability recommendations.
• Serve as a technical expert on actuarial methodologies, predictive modeling, data mining, and actuarial software.
• Develop and oversee multiple work plans, peer reviews, documentation, and quality controls.
• Present actuarial findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical leadership, regulators, auditors, and external vendors.
• Build business partnerships and advise on new or enhanced personal lines product opportunities.

Requirements

• ACAS designation required; FCAS preferred.
• At least eight years of actuarial experience.
• Strong experience in insurance pricing, personal lines, and product knowledge.
• Expertise in actuarial models, statistical analysis, databases, and analytical software.
• Leadership, mentoring, strategic planning, communication, and business partnership skills.
• SQL and Python proficiency preferred.
