Senior Business Analyst (Life Sciences)

Location: Poland or Romania; remote/office work with travel to the UK, including an initial one-month onsite discovery phase and two additional shorter trips.

What you will do

• Shape the vision of a client business area and align business objectives with solution outcomes.
• Lead discovery and analysis, define as-is and to-be states, identify gaps, and propose improvements.
• Own requirements elicitation, documentation, validation, prioritization, and lifecycle management.
• Document scientific and operational processes using BPMN, swimlane diagrams, and other modeling techniques.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, architects, and delivery teams to manage scope and reduce delivery risks.
• Develop business cases, facilitate solution handoff, and contribute to the next-phase digital transformation roadmap.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT environments with enterprise clients.
• Strong life-sciences R&D domain knowledge, supported by professional experience or a degree in life sciences, biotechnology, bioinformatics, chemistry, pharmacy, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of scientific R&D workflows, including areas such as assays, screening, structural biology, laboratory processes, or computational pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of business analysis practices and artifacts across the full solution lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with Agile and Kanban software development methodologies.
• Effective English communication skills for collaboration with international, cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Understanding of business architecture frameworks and enterprise operating models.
• Experience in business development, discovery phases, and pre-sales activities.
• Familiarity with data engineering or data science concepts.
• IIBA CBAP, PMI PBA, OCUP 2 Intermediate, OCEB 2 Business Intermediate, or TOGAF 9.0 Foundation certification.
