Senior Business Analyst (Life Sciences)

Location: Remote/Office in Poland or Romania; travel to the UK is required, including an initial one-month onsite discovery phase and two additional shorter trips.

What you will do

• Shape the client business-area vision and align business objectives with solution outcomes.
• Lead discovery activities, define as-is and to-be states, identify gaps, and propose business improvements.
• Own requirements elicitation, documentation, validation, prioritization, and lifecycle management.
• Document scientific and operational processes using BPMN, swimlane diagrams, and other modeling techniques.
• Develop business cases, manage solution scope, and reduce delivery risks and rework.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, architects, and delivery teams; facilitate solution handoff and contribute to the transformation roadmap.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT environments with enterprise clients.
• Strong life-sciences R&D domain knowledge and understanding of scientific workflows, such as assays, screening, structural biology, laboratory processes, or computational pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of business analysis practices, techniques, and artifacts across the full solution lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with Agile and Kanban methodologies, business architecture frameworks, enterprise operating models, prioritization, scope management, and change management.
• Experience in business development, discovery phases, and pre-sales activities.
• Effective English communication skills are required for collaboration with cross-functional and international teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data engineering or data science concepts.
• Professional certifications such as IIBA CBAP, PMI PBA, OCUP 2 Intermediate, OCEB 2 Business Intermediate, or TOGAF 9.0 Foundation.
