Business Development Representative (Insurance)

Location: Cincinnati, OH, United States; hybrid/remote arrangement indicated

Specialty insurance organization providing insurance products and services through agency relationships.

What you will do

• Generate new client business through prospecting, networking, recommendations, trade shows, and conferences.
• Develop assigned agent accounts and build long-term relationships across agency organizations.
• Provide service to agents, conduct agent visits, and gather industry knowledge.
• Prepare professional proposals and communications for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Review agent RFPs and collaborate with underwriting and claims teams on participation strategies.
• Review accounts monthly and implement corrective actions to support agent profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Prior insurance industry knowledge and experience.
• Previous sales and business development experience with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with prospects and agents.
• Strong social, networking, presentation, telephone, writing, time-management, computer, and communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; work authorization sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
