Litigation Analyst

Location: Cincinnati, OH; hybrid. Occasional travel may be required for matters that cannot be handled by video conference.

What you will do

• Manage claims and lawsuits involving security companies, private investigators, and alarm installation and monitoring companies through resolution, trial, or appeal.
• Contact insured parties early to identify witnesses, employees, contracts, relevant documents, and information about the allegations.
• Analyze coverage and prepare reservation-of-rights letters, disclaimers, tenders, and acceptance of tenders when appropriate.
• Oversee defense counsel, confirm defense strategies, monitor litigation developments, and develop settlement or litigation plans.
• Maintain claim files, evaluate liability, damages, reserves, litigation budgets, expenses, and recommended next steps.
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences, negotiate settlements, prepare settlement drafts, and review releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of claims experience preferred.
• Knowledge of third-party liability claims handling required.
• Claims-adjuster licenses must be obtained where required by applicable state law.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
